3) class 8a

Hi Everybody!

We are from Budapest, Hungary, we go to Radnóti high school. We are 14,15, 16 years old, there are fourteen girls and twenty-two boys among us. Our class is very lively and friendly, and we’d really like to get to know you all!. We speak English pretty well, and some of us speak German too.

We’re interested in a lot of things, including biology ☺. We like to go on excursions, and play sports of all kinds. We like nature and animals, and lots of us have pets. We’re really creative, some of us like to paint or play on instruments and sing or act in plays. We like challenges, we are open to new things, to get to know more and more from the world surrounding us. We ‘re different in some things, but we still get along great!

And here are a few things about our school:

It’s an elementary school and high school combined. We take part in a lot of contests, both educational and physical. For example biology, chemistry, history, maths, physics etc. There’s always a contest between the classes, where each class puts on a play, and there are always mini “championships” in basketball, floorball, soccer etc. We enjoy taking part in them, even if we don’t win.

Our school has great expectations, we have to study hard, so that we can keep up to everyone else. We learn maths, biology, music, art, English language and French or German or Russian or Latin language, and we also take gymnastics. At the beginning of each summer, after the term finished, we always go somewhere for a few days to be together, to have a good time and just relax.

We hope to hear from you soon!

About us

As you probably know we are from the 8 b class of Radnóti Miklós school of Budapest. We are fourteen and fifteen and we like each other very much. Since we are 38 in the class, there are groups with different interests. So, it would be easy to find people with the same interest as yours. Some are interested in sciences, some in music, others in the Net, etc. Many of us do sports like horse riding, swimming, judo, padding and dance. We also play music like the piano, violin, flute, guitar and the saxophone.

I must say that there is one thing many people like in the class and this is MUD, an acting game on the Internet. Have you heard about it? Usually 12 of us play it very often. We are interested in music, mostly in rock (alternative rock and punk, not classic rock). We hope you like rock too.

Everybody likes our class outings which are usually organised in the Fall when school starts. We usually go to the countryside with two of our teachers for two or three days, do hiking and play a lot of games. We talk a lot and have a good time.

Our school is a very good one, it is listed among the best ten of the country. The atmosphere is quite good for many reasons. We have a lot of different programs during the year when we play, have games, competitions among the classes. We also have for example a theatre festival each year where all the classes can perform a play. We won twice! We like our school very much, I think.

We learn 5 languages all together in the class: English (everybody speaks English at least a little bit), French, German, Latin or Russian. We also learn sciences: physics, biology, chemistry, maths and geography. Some are interested in science (like me). Are you also interested in science? Is there anybody who would be interested in talking about it?

We take exams almost every year. This year we will take exams in history and literature, therefore we will not have our yearly outing in the summer, unfortunately.

That's all about us. We are all very different and we are sure that we would easily find matching interests with you.
