The picture-book
The
introduction of pictures was from big importance for the evolution of the
children literature. Johann Amos Comenius handed over the first picture-book and
the first teaching book for children in Latin in 1658 in Nürnberg. Its name was
“Orbis sensualium pictus” (the visible world in pictures) and it was
reprinted in 1979. “Orbis” means “circle”. The picture-book was nearly
translated in all European languages. As regards content the book had many
topics of the weekday to offer, which were with wood slices illustrate.
Peace education
He
described the peace education in his main book “Magna Didactica” (the big
didactic = “art of teaching”). In 1960 the main book was translated. Today
under didactic will understand as well as, both academic theories of teaching
and teaching and theories of culture contests and teachingplan. His destination
was it to make children peaceful and fair people, with the help of big nature
understanding, big development and religious education. He said these very
influential ideas in whole Europe in a time, when the european population
suffered under the terrible results of the Thirty Year War. The ideas of the
peace education got new lift in advance of the First World War (from 1914 till
1917) by Bertha from Suttner (from 1843 till 1914), who got the peace nobel
prize in 1905. Today different forms of the peace education lean on drafts of
not military defending, its name is social defending.
Education
The
children education didn’t play an own role in middle age in Europe. While the
Renaissance, the children education became better and finally it was formulated
as the general education. These formulations of the early 19th
century are the basises for the education finish. From this time, schools played
also the most important role (school duty) as disposable culture institution. In
the education novel of the 19th century many separate authors
presented their education mock-ups or education programms. The education science
(also: pedagogy) especially look into the education process. Education theorists
for example Fröbel or Pestalozzi supported for the childlike understanding in
the manners. Out of this, the Waldorf pedagogy and the theories of the italian
doctor Maria Montessori (Montessori pedagogy), developed also powerful.
Books
Most important were two books: his
book about theory and praxis of the education with its books of teaching, for
example, “Ceská didaktika” (big didactic) and “Orbis sensualium pictus”,
which were for a long time the most reading school books in Germany.
